The Sunshine Coast Falcons Rugby League Club was formed in 2006 as a pathway to the Queensland Cup for local Sunshine Coast players. The Falcons played in the reserve grade competition (FOGS Cup) for 3 years until they were accepted into the QLD Cup Intrust Super Cup competition in 2009 as the Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles and were a feeder team for the Manly Sea Eagles.

The Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles won the 2009 QLD Cup in their first year of competition defeating the Northern Pride 32 – 18 at Sunshine Coast Stadium.

In the Club’s history, the Sunshine Coast Falcons have seen more than 70 players play for the Falcons and then go on to play in the NRL, including Local juniors Tino Fa’asuamaleaui, Trent Loiero and Tyson Smoothy with plenty more Falcons juniors currently in NRL systems and squads.
In 2025 the Falcons affiliated with the 2025 Premiers, the Brisbane Broncos for the 2026 and 2027 seasons
